I'm Steph!

If you are looking for a Peachtree Corners pet sitter, you're in the right place.

We know animals. In business since 2011, Zen Dog has a proven track record for being compassionate and reliable pet sitters. Our company resides in and serves Peachtree Corners.

Our pet sitters and dog walkers also serve clients in Norcross, Duluth, and parts of Roswell, Alpharetta, and Johns Creek as well.

We are here for you, all year long!

We work 365 days per year, from 7am to 10pm. And during the time we’ve been in business, we have built hundreds of great relationships with client pets.

In fact, many clients report that their animals act like they never left. Some even say their animals love us more than them!

Our pet sitters and dog walkers are verified animal lovers

Our pet sitters and dog walkers are background checked and trained prior to caring for client pets on their own. And a genuine love for animals is the #1 requirement!

We love our job, and it shows on your pets’ happy faces.

Our Story

Zen Dog was started by me, a wildlife biologist working as an environmental consultant. I had decided that I no longer wanted to work in the corporate world and did not see myself in that line of work for another 25 years!

So I started pet sitting for another company – Pampered Pet Care – on the side while still working full-time. Finding a career involving animals was always part of the plan, and it was always in the back of my mind.

One day, while browsing potential animal-related jobs, I stumbled upon animal massage therapy. I honestly thought there would be no better job than that! So I got educated in small animal massage therapy and started Zen Dog in 2011.

Two years into my business, I decided to make the jump and add pet sitting and dog walking services to my company. Exactly a year after I added those services, we got so busy that I had to quit my consulting job!

Since then, I have hired a few pet sitters and dog walkers, and we have helped hundreds of clients with their pets when they go out of town for work or play, or when they are simply working all day and can’t break away to walk the dog. We are professional and reliable Peachtree Corners pet sitters that have many happy clients who have been using us for years.

We have even been chosen as a Neighborhood Favorite on our local Nextdoor page!

It has been a fun and fantastic ride so far, and we definitely look forward to the future and meeting you and your beloved pets!  ~Steph Sorensen

Steph and Ripple

Stephanie currently lives in Peachtree Corners, Georgia with her husband, two dogs and a cat. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences from Texas A&M University. In addition, she has a Masters Degree in Biology from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a concentration in herpetology (translation: reptile and amphibian expert). She is trained and/or certified in the following areas:

The Early Years...

To say she has loved animals all her life is a bit cliché, but it is the truth. Steph has had dogs ever since she can remember, and raised gerbils in grade school and junior high, had goldfish and bettas, and even had a bunch of snakes, lizards, and frogs in college. She loved, cared for, and enjoyed them all! Her wildlife studies helped her gain a deeper understanding of many of the wild critters in our world, as well as the domestic ones in our homes.

She absolutely loves pet sitting, dog walking, and animal massage. All of which gives her the opportunity to connect deeply with animals other than her own – a true gift!

Steph cannot wait to meet you and your furred, feathered and scaly crew. She is pawsitive that she will love them as much as you do!

Stephen has always had an interest in wildlife since he was a youngster growing up on the west bank in New Orleans. He has also always been a dog owner, and also loves cats, even while being mildly allergic!

His degree is in Wildlife Management from LSU, and he is the resident ornithologist (translation: bird expert) of the family.

He left the corporate world of consulting in January 2015, deciding to work for the family business instead. Now, he walks dogs for a living and hasn’t looked back.

Stephen looks forward to meeting you and caring for your critters!

Let us help you with your pets, and I promise we will treat them like our own!
