Stephanie Sorensen - Owner

I currently live in Peachtree Corners, Georgia with my husband, three dogs (a female pit bull, a female Labrador Retriever, and my new adoptee - a male pit mix) and a tuxedo cat. I hold a Bachelors Degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences from Texas A&M University, and a Masters Degree in Biology from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a concentration in Herpetology. I completed my coursework and certification at the Northwest School of Animal Massage and plan to continue my education indefinitely, eventually branching into training and behavior as well.

I am currently a member of the International Association of Animal Massage and Bodywork, Pet Sitters International, as well as the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals organizations. I am fully insured through the International Association of Animal Massage and Bodywork and am fully insured and bonded through Business Insurers of the Carolinas.

To say I have loved animals all my life is a bit cliché, but it is the truth. I have had dogs ever since I could remember. I raised gerbils in grade school and junior high, had goldfish and bettas, and even had a bunch of snakes, lizards, and frogs in college. I loved, cared for, and enjoyed them all!

I started pet sitting in the summer of 2009 for Pampered Pet Care of Atlanta. I spent a few years sitting for a wide variety of furred and feathered clients - including hermit crabs, sea monkeys, and other interesting critters amongst the dogs and cats. In 2011, I started Zen Dog as solely a small animal massage company, offering dog and cat massage to the Atlanta metro area. In 2012, I added pet sitting services to my company and broke out on my own early in 2013. I absolutely love pet sitting and animal massage - both give me the opportunity to connect deeply with animals other than my own, which is a true gift.

I cannot wait to meet you and your furred, feathered and scaly crew. I am sure I will love them as my own in no time!

Scarlet (Zen Dog I) - Zen Master, Massage Demo Dog, Field Manager

Hi, my name is Scarlet, and I am the field manager and demo dog. That means I get to travel with Mom, and she gives me short massages while people watch. I also accompany Mom on public outings and to events. It is a tough job, but someone has to do it. I take it very seriously. I have had years of practice in being a mellow, "zen" dog, and I love my job!

Ripple (Zen Dog II) - Zen Dog Mascot, Zen Padawan, Office Manager, Blogger

Hey, folks! Ripple here, and I am excited that Mom is letting me be a part of things! Skills I bring to the table are enthusiasm (a LOT of enthusiasm), energy, and a zest for life! I am in training to take Scarlet's place as the demo dog and public greeter, but Mom says I'm not there yet. I don't know what that means, but I am excited anyway! For now, I will have to settle on being the face of Zen Dog as a virtual mascot. Mom also has me blogging about all kinds of topics - stuff Mom gives me to blog about, as well as my own rants and raves. I also have my own website launching soon, so stay tuned!

We've got a good company here, and there's nowhere to go but up! I look forward to meeting you one day!
